How to create a language override?

In this article we will show you, how to create a language override and how to use it in your website.

To create a language override you need to go into the backend of Joomla as administrator.

Now you can navigate to "Extensions" -> "Language Manager"

In the next window you should click on "Overrides". Here you will see an overview of all created language overrides.

With a click on "New" you can create a new language override.

In the field "Language Constant" you can insert the variable you want to use. For example "JOVER_TUTORIAL".

In the field "Text" you can insert the text you wish to show in the frontend.

In the field "Language" you see in which language the override will be used.

If you forget the name of the variable, you can use the search on the right side.
